What is the reason Cardano nodes went down?
Here's the conversation of the bug. Quite interesting. https://github.com/input-output-hk/cardano-node/issues/4826
-
~60% of all Cardano nodes were just taken offline by a transaction bug. No reboot of the blockchain is needed but investigations on the cause are still ongoing.
Anybody that wants to follow the details of the conversation around the investigation can do so here

The git issue has a lot of data reported by the operators. I think they have a selection of logging and monitoring tools available to them.

We're Sunsetting Jaxx Liberty on March 27.
There can't be a user-controlled internet - which some call Web3 - if the user is not in control of the server. Using Jaxx Liberty infrastructure to create full-node, plug-and-play Andiami blockchain computers for individuals, our goal is to increase the decentralization of Bitcoin, Ethereum, and dozens more.

Need resources to learn about EVM
https://ethereum.org/en/developers/docs/evm/opcodes/ As you can see ethereum.org is also rather light on information about it, so the source code of one of the implementations will be your best bet :)

Daily General Discussion - December 3, 2022
Andrew Miller predicted The DAO hack: About a year or so before The DAO hack (but before the launch of The DAO iirc) Andrew Miller, who was part of the original team from Least Authority who audited Ethereum in 2015, posted in the Ethereum forum about re-entrency bugs in contracts. At the time there were no live contracts that had this pattern, and Gavin Wood dismissed Andrew's concerns at the time. This happened on the ethereum.org forums (which are now deprecated, but archived).

Wonder if it's worth getting it onto ethereum.org. That would give it legitimacy. I know a lot of people tend to already refer to their docs for pointing out that a sidechain isn't an L2.
