I was worried that the order might impact on ease and access for soldering, so was following the official foostan order of attaching things (diodes, leds, jack/oled socket, switch sockets) but given the good advice and discovering this guys build guide seems I can do the LEDs last and, thus, test as I go.

I dont know about a helix guide specifically, but I followed this one for the lily58, which is super similar (as you probably know) https://github.com/keyhive/build_guides/blob/master/docs/keyboards/lily58pro.md

Also make sure you have jumpered the pads for the oleds, I see that missed or bridged semi-commonly. https://github.com/keyhive/build_guides/blob/master/lily58pro.md#attach-the-oled
