- How do you create your own bitcoin wallet? I mean without CEX or other 3rd parties. How do you really own your bitcoins with your keys?

You don't need to do that conversionn first. The key itself could also be bugged depending on the length of the private key in hex like in this issue I opened last year https://github.com/blockchain/blockchain-wallet-v4-frontend/issues/3095 (still hasn't been fixed)
