What is "initial release" of IAM in FAQ?
I used widdix/aws-ec2-ssh to let the SSH key defined on an IAM user be used to access a bastion host. I adjusted it to Ubuntu a multi-account environment, but it works really well.

How do i do sftp in rpgle?
Edit: My solution: i wrote some java code which uses the sshj-library and called it from my rpgle code. I tried it first with the jsch-library but somehow it wasnt able to read my private key correctly under os400, no problems with windows.

Finally, the official JCraft JSch library is no longer maintained and consequently does not support modern secure algorithms and ciphers. Although an actively developed fork has become available recently, we decided to use the native Git approach.

OP needs to use this project to 'patch' JSch, but frankly I would not want to rely on unmaintained projects like JGit.
