    One library I know that had RA for mutable IR is Zebu: https://github.com/jstnlef/zebu-vm/tree/master/src/compiler/backend/reg_alloc . I've borrowed their code for my JS-like language VM and it worked really great. Zebu implements Mu MicroVM which is LLVM-like thingie which is used for implementing dynamic typed programming languages
