Is it mandatory to switch to core app? I have used wallet.avax.network for years.
I am also struggling a bit here. Long time wallet.avax.network user with Ledger. Haven't really tried core yet, but I guess I will need to. Is there there an official time where we should definitely not use wallet.avax.network?

I had 42 avax in the old version of the wallet since 2021 I’ve just accessed the wallet through the new core app and my avax is not showing ? No one has had access to my password so I’m thinking it’s still in there but I can’t see it ? Has anyone had this problem ?
Wait what??? Core app can't see P or X, then what use is it? Why are people moving away from wallet.avax.network ?

No staking rewards
This doesn't sound plausible. However, I have heard wallet.avax.network will be deprecated in Jan 2024

Viewing AVAX P-Chain Staking on Ledger
I used to have C-Chain balance shown on my Ledger, but now I started staking my AVAX on the P-Chain through the wallet.avax.network website. Is there a way to show my P-Chain staked account on Ledger? I don't know if Ledger is still working on it or I'm just not smart enough to figure it out.

Newbie - Staking AVAX, validate or delegate?
You can use wallet.avax.network to set up a node or delegate.

I want to move my coins off cex to self custody and stake.
Open the Avalanche Wallet (https://wallet.avax.network/) and select "Access Wallet" (source (https://support.avax.network/en/articles/6169872-how-to-make-a-cross-chain-transfer-in-the-avalanche-wallet)).

I’m finally going to start stacking AVAX.
I've also heard a lot of great things about AVAX too like EVM Support, Subnets, and how staking is easy. I'm not sure if I should get an AVAX Wallet for staking instead of using my Trust Wallet though.

Trezor and lack of support for some major tokens and alts
To send and receive you have to use a 3rd party wallet such as https://wallet.avax.network

Staking period finished after a year, still 0 AVAX in wallet - where's my AVAX?
Over the course of the last year ever since delegating, my web wallet at wallet.avax.network has shown a zero balance. I figured maybe that 0 balance was the case since the AVAX was locked and delegated and that when the delegation expired it would return to my wallet.

Best place to stake avax using metamask?
stake directly to the network using wallet.avax.network

- Always ALWAYS check the address if you cut-and-paste wallet addresses (demo on linked page). Check several digits at the start and end. This is malware.

Daily General Discussion - February 19, 2021
This has been floating around lately. It is malware that replaces the clipboard with a different address. https://github.com/jacques-andre/crypto-yank
- I think this is something to be aware to always double check the address
