Controlling alts
AttackWithMe to have alts engage/disengage together with the main character. A pretty easy shortcut to get them to face the right direction is /follow. If you're engaged, /follow always makes you face your engaged target, and if you're multiboxing, you already have a /follow macro somewhere, so just hit that.

SCH Macros?
I wouldn't try with vanilla hotbars. Xivhotbar makes it much easier imo. Xivhotbar

Entering macro sets... grrr
I'm an enthusiastic user of FFXIV Hotbar for a SLEW of reasons (global hotbar and job specific hotbar, to start) as well as being able to create and use your own icons which is GREAT fun.

Controlling alts
Personally, I'm a huge fan of using XIVHotbar to call windower macros. You can set it up to do any windower command, including things like exec and send, so you can setup hotkeys for things like toggling WS use, or having an alt cast something on your current target.
