    It doesn't currently, but I agree it would be a nice feature. I have a TODO in the code to add support for visual selections, and I opened an issue to track ranges here.

    I'm fairly new to Lua, and I ran into quite a few issues trying to get UTF-8 parsing working until I finally came across the fantastic utf8.lua. The code may not be the nicest, but I'm happy that I was able to get a fairly robust implementation together in a day. The biggest challenge was overlapping boxes, but I managed to solve that eventually.
