asbplayer VS videobook

I found a way to upload your own subs while watching soft subs. For those who don't know, it's a site and/or extension called asbplayer. Basically you follow the steps on the github, install the enxtension and press ctrl+shift+x to load subtitles or use any present ones. I've tried it on Aniwave and YouTube and both work

If you look up definitions as you go, you'll know what's being said AND have the correct exact meaning. I recommend something like the Substital extension or asbplayer (which is better but slightly more difficult to download.)

asbplayer can inject subs like +subs and they are selectable with yomichan. It also has other useful features specifically for language learning like quickly generating anki cards.

If you are at a level where anime can help you make significant gains, I suggest using asbplayer, a browser extension which allows you to not only overlay subtitles on streamed video, but also to export certain words or phrases to Anki. if you don't know already there is a good subtitle bank at kitsunekko.net.

the asbplayer extension can do that,if you are watching movies/series online you're good to go but if you are watching videos locally you might have some problems because Chrome does not have HEVC support so some videos will play with only the audio, to fix that you can install Chromium here make sure to pick a build with the tags "Marmaduke" and "all-codecs" when you have it installed paste chrome://flags/#enable-clear-hevc-for-testing into the url bar and enable it, then follow this guide on how to setup and install asbplayer

You can get Japanese subtitles from kitsunekko and if you want to use subs on online videos u can use the asbplayer extension or if you want to watch stuff locally you can use Memento it's basically MPV(Video Player) but with yomichan in it so you can look up words quickly and export them to Anki

Stick to digital content. Specifically, the kind you can consume in your browser so you can easily copy and paste or utilize Yomichan for instant lookups. This doesn't just work for text-only content like books, stories and websites. You can watch subtitled videos in your browser using sites like https://video.fluentcards.com/. For games, pick one that has the Japanese script available online. For some titles like Ace Attorney, Chrono Trigger or Tales of Vesperia there are even sites that have the English and Japanese dialogue side by side, which makes following along and looking things up a breeze.
