There's no method available currently that in aware of. The recovery image in my firmware packs of the one I built myself: https://gitlab.com/alelec/navdy/display-rom/-/blob/master/recovery.img It can be unpacked and changed to no longer auto-run my install script. Could then change the script to try to reformat the USB drive partition, then clone the other partitions into backup files on the USB position.

I'm not sure what you mean about importing a container. Did you use the automated branch of the map downloader project? There's basic instructions at the top of the readme: https://gitlab.com/alelec/navdy/Navdy-MapDownloader You shouldn't have to type and Docker commands yourself, the download scripts should do that for you
