Looking to integrate Tasker in my Assistant, but very very confused about the Tasker development flow
Lolz, yeah, natively it has issues with tasker integration. But my update for the locale lib solves them for the most part, it's a plug-and-play with it. Although, no repo link for build.gradle, I have to get it merged with upstream, when I can find the time of course, I think this life is way too short for the amount of things that are currently on my to-do list :p

For tasker plugin integration, for kotlin you can use joão, the tasker's dev library here, since your code is in kotlin from a quick overview. Otherwise, for java you can use my locale library update here for targetsdk 29. You are probably aware of some of this though.

It's possible, but it were to be implemented, it won't be available by default, since that's not termux's purpose. Launchers are complicated things. Its not just about adding a single android.intent.category.HOME category and be done, launchers have to query apps, support dynamic and pinned shortcuts, requests for these will come later and will clutter termux-app, would be better to implement such code in a plugin app if possible. There is also an issue open about this already.

How do i execute a Shortcut from Nova Launcher with Tasker?
That shortcut has the com.android.launcher3.DEEP_SHORTCUT category. It can only be started by the the default launcher, voice interaction service or a system app with the ACCESS_SHORTCUTS permission.
