How to install armbian on the t95z TV box?
Or here :) Though the display doesn't work yet (which doesn't matter to me as I run it headless anyway) by trying boot images until one worked it helped me run a linux server on a s905x3 box... I'd say the performance is very comparable to a rpi 4 https://github.com/ophub/amlogic-s9xxx-armbian

Does an Ethernet switch exist where the IP Addresses can be renamed to text?
Install a local DNS app, eg: Pihole. This pihole can be installed on devices such as a Raspberry Pi or any SBC that can run Linux OS, or an android box that has Armbian OS firmware installed..

pihole in a sub $50 router?
I'm using amlogic (s905x) based tv box (HG680P) and flash armbian build by ophub and just simply run it headless. The best thing is you can use it's internal emmc to run everything.

Setup box Transformation
Regarding the other TV boxes supporting Linux, they support it and can run it very well, because they share a similar design to Odroids and Banana Pi. And the chip makers have made the driver open source. Even doing that much, the port is still limited to a few devices. https://github.com/ophub/amlogic-s9xxx-armbian

Anybody has a used raspberry pi you want to sell?
If it's for home server use then I recommend that you go with TV Boxes instead. They are superior in every aspect in terms of performance and cost. Two most popular TV Boxes that supports linux installation and that is available in Nepal right now is TX3 Mini and HK1 Box. Follow this tutorial https://github.com/ophub/amlogic-s9xxx-armbian to install linux on it.

raspberry pi in Kathmandu
My advice would be to buy this TV Box and install Linux on it by following instructions through this Github repo . It's super easy to install and works solid as a small powerful home server.

Looking for WiFi Guidance
I also know that the RaspAP software works, because some people have used it before. https://raspap.com it's got a lot more going on than setting up an AP bare bones on the Pi, but might be easier. I haven't tried it but I know people that have.

Self-hosted offload station - what to do with SD cards?
To "insure" safety of our photos and minimize potential loss when we are completely offline for several days, I wanted to create a media offload station which would be a Rasperry PI with SSD storage, UPS and an LTE modem. I would like our phones to connect to Raspberry-hosted wifi network, sync photos wirelessly via Syncthing and then - when there is internet connection - to our home NAS - that's the easy part.

[Q] WPA2-Enterprise Support
RaspAP doesn't currently support WPA2-Enterprise, although it certainly could if there's enough demand for it. You're welcome to open a feature request.

Looking for setup help.
Turns out this was a bug introduced in the latest RPi OS kernel. You were the first to report it. A fix has been pushed in the latest release. Thanks for the heads up...and your patience. https://github.com/RaspAP/raspap-webgui/releases/tag/2.9.0
