Alternatively, if you'd like a suggestion, I'm currently working on Collabora, an online version of libreoffice, and we have a number of issues which should be relatively easy & have the possibility of mentorship. There's also an online development environment using gitpod so you don't need to faff around setting a lot of stuff up on your computer.
