Any reason not to use the "Mirai" server software?
AlynaaMC is a mix of JettPack, Pufferfish, Paper and Yatopia (and you might want to read this, by the way, TL;DR: Yatopia is a buggy and unstable fork that is not even continued anymore)... Also, JettPack is just a playground for his dev so you definitely shouldn't use it at all.

Any reason not to use the "Mirai" server software?
That patch was taken from JettPack (my own personal fork for my own private server). So the developer of Mirai clearly doesn't understand the ramifications of the patches they're slapping into their sever software.
What are some alternatives?
