Stopped using ReVanced - Now want to get back
And if you want to go an extra step, Odysee also has a feature to import your YoutTube subs and find channels that are mirrored there. There's also a plugin that can add a button or automatically redirect there from YouTube videos that it detects are mirrored.

Update from Lemmy after the Reddit blackout
Discoverability is rather hard, not all YTers will announce their alt channels. Iโve found the most luck with LBRY/Odysee, especially STEM channels, and they even have a plugin for this[0]. However I havenโt tested it personally.
I also suggest using Invidious for getting YT RSS feeds, its incredibly simple and a much cleaner (and more private) experience all around.

How to import YouTube subscriptions ( in the hundreds) to an odysee account.
You might use my extension for browser that has subscription converter it wont auto follow them on Odysee or LBRY but it will give you list o channels. I have pushed update to google webstore but it's still in review so if you want most update version you need to sideload it to chrome or use firefox (that one is approved) https://github.com/LBRYFoundation/Watch-on-LBRY

What can we do to help LBRY grow?
Yeah, I have a complementary idea to use this extension: https://github.com/LBRYFoundation/Watch-on-LBRY and for every content you want to see that's not on LBRY send a message/comment to the creator to sync or change platform if they aren't on YouTube but something else.

How Open Source helped me get into the GitHub Octernships program.
I started open source software development a few months into my last internship, after one of my colleagues suggested it. When I made my first open source contribution, I realized how much of an impact I could create with this work, especially because of the size of the org I contributed to. My first PR was a feature that I added to the freeCodeCamp codebase; this repo has the highest number of stars on GitHub! I made this contribution in October, and to my surprise, I got an email in December informing me that I was one of the top contributors of 2022 to the freeCodeCamp codebase because of this contribution! I was elated and the sense of satisfaction that I got from this feat was something that I had not experienced before. freeCodeCamp was also the first open source community I was a part of, interacting with the maintainers in their Discord server daily to get my PRs merged and learn more about the codebase!
