Accessing private nextcloud from local network over public host name.
At the time I solved by changing hosts files and some android apps https://github.com/x-falcon/Virtual-Hosts and (simple) https://f-droid.org/en/packages/eu.faircode.netguard/ (more complicate / powerful, lets you also use VPN).

Virtual Hosts for Chromecast with Google TV
I do not. He must've removed the tag on github. You could try 2.0.4 (assuming you've tried 2.1.0 already). https://github.com/x-falcon/Virtual-Hosts/releases The owner doesn't seem active but did respond here to perhaps a similar issue: https://github.com/x-falcon/Virtual-Hosts/issues/60

Any ways to gain root for only specific apps that require it instead of rooting entire phone?
https://github.com/twoyi/twoyi an android container on android with root might or might not help

Eve portal app doesn't support later Android versions. Is there an ETA or roadmap for this app?

Android: run 2 VPNs
To add to this, if you want to actually isolate an app, use twoyi or VirtualXPosed. The android work profile is not enough, as lots of data is still shared between the work profile and the normal profile.

Is it safe to run potentially vulnerable apps in an Android emulator (without any worries)?
If you want to run on an android device check Twoyi. I only came across it but never had a chance to actually look in to what it does or try it myself...

GitHub - twoyi/twoyi: A lightweight Android container on Android
The app itself also contains proprietary native libraries. There are also Microsoft analytics libraries that apparently send data to Microsoft without user interaction, the libraries themselves appear to be free software but it's bad if they are sending data without user consent.

Is there any app the creates a separate android environment for Android?
https://github.com/twoyi/twoyi . something like vmos but it was too slow last the I checked.

Apps to spoof contacts/logs/storage for other apps that force you for these permissions ?
Check out the Work Profiles documentation. Work profiles are slightly better than just installing the app in your main profile, but all device indentifiers remain the same (WiFi name, WiFi MAC address, Bluetooth MAC address, screen resolution, etc). If you really want to isolate a privacy-invasive app, I recommend that you use twoyi (download here), or VirtualXPosed. I use these pretty often, and they're very stable.

Help: open source apk doesn't spy on itself, but has trackers
I got recommended twoyi short ago, it as Android VM for Android. It's open source and doesn't use telemetry on itself. Only at crash it collects non-identifiable info.
- Any VM suggestions for Android?
