I've set up lazyman before on multiple devices but I seem stuck on this error when I am on virtual hosts and enable the hosts file (using https://github.com/acleee/lm-ips/blob/master/lm_hosts.txt as the file).

Virtual Hosts for Chromecast with Google TV
I use virtual hosts on my nvidia shield. Does your chromecast have a file explorer? It might be trying to open an explorer to browse to the host file. I don't bother with that though, I enter a URL in virtual hosts to download the host file from directly. I believe I use: https://github.com/acleee/lm-ips/blob/master/lm_hosts.txt
