With Latte Dock no longer being maintained, what's another good Dock to use for KDE?
there's a background extension called Vallpaper (not a typo) that can do that also.

KDE users of reddit. What would you say is something you DONT like about kde?
on my current install, activities are worse than worthless. every time I changed activity it reset almost all of my desktop settings and it never remembered anything. I simply wanted to use different wallpapers for each virtual desktop so I installed Vallpaper instead (1.4 because my Plasma is relatively old).

Different desktop backgrounds per virtual desktop in KDE Plasma - script included.
Hi, just wanted to mention this simple script i wrote to allow different desktop backgrounds for different virtual desktops in KDE plasma! I know that this is possible with activities but I miss the ability to lay out different activities in 2d, and the nicer widget (in my opinion) that you get with virtual desktops. Unfortunately Vallpaper seems to be defunct so I went ahead and wrote my own small script.
- Who uses Activities in KDE? Is it a helpful feature?
- How to configure a different wallpaper for each virtual desktop?

DE with simple(r) config design?
I never said otherwise. And if i look what this script for KDE tries to backup I'd say this is far from what I'm looking at.
- Is theres a way to install my kde setup

Config files location?
This script reveals locations pretty exactly: https://gitlab.com/cscs/transfuse/-/blob/master/transfuse.sh

Best way to backup Plasma Customization?

Integrated backup/restore system
How many times have you asked yourself "What a gorgeous customization! I wish I could make a backup and do the same thing on my other setups!" ? Well, I've done more thousand times! I know there are widgets like Plasma Customization Saver or scripts such as transfuse,konsave,kde-plasma-backup, etc. But nothing replaces native stuff! I would suggest creating an integrated option to backup and restore system settings (themes, icons, shortcuts, windows rules, arrangement of applications in panels, favorite apps, wallpapers, etc). You can even recognize the list of applications which can be installed and give the user the option to select which apps to be installed. That would be awesome!!

Plasma reset at every startup the desktop settings
There some community attempts to solve this problem https://gitlab.com/cscs/transfuse and https://store.kde.org/p/1298955/
What are some alternatives?
When comparing Vallpaper and transfuse you can also consider the following projects:
plasma-workspace - Various components needed to run a Plasma-based environment
kde-plasma-backup - Script for backup and restore KDE Plasma environment configuration.
cairo-dock-core - Core part of Cairo-Dock project.
konsave - A command line program written in Python to let you backup your dotfiles and switch to other ones in an instant. Works out-of-the box on KDE Plasma!
FancyTasks - Make your plasma task manager widget pretty.
mackup - Keep your application settings in sync (OS X/Linux)
