Unsupported-6900XT-Hackintosh-Fix VS OpenCorePkg

I did hear that my specific 6900xt had problems (XTXH variant of the 6900XT) and found this, not sure if I need to apply this patch still (2 years old).

i need your help. I tried to set up a working OC 0.8.8 with Monterey but found out that i have bad luck with my GPU: Its a RX 6900 XT (device id 73BF). I tried to follow several guides like this https://github.com/TylerLyczak/Unsupported-6900XT-Hackintosh-Fix but i need a Mac for this and all i got is an iPhone, an iPad oder my Windows pc.

I got this working by using a device ID from a slightly lower model that macOS supports. I used the instructions for spoofing unsupported 6900 devices, but used FF730000 as the device ID instead.

OpenCore 0.9.7 is out. You can get it from Acidanthera.

IF you don't have opencore downloaded, don't download from their link, go directly to the dortania guide here and download version 0.9.2: https://github.com/acidanthera/OpenCorePkg/releases/

You also seem to be using an older version of OpenCore, so updating that would be a good idea if you get the GPU issue sorted.

This is due to OpenCore getting confused when trying to boot Windows and accidentally thinking it's booting OpenCore. This can be avoided by either move Windows to it's own drive or adding a custom drive path under BlessOverride. See Configuration.pdf (opens new window)for more details.
