Torch
Examples of using each Illuminate component in non-Laravel applications (by mattstauffer)
bypass-finals
Removes `final` and `readonly` keywords from source code on-the-fly and allows mocking of final methods and classes. It can be used together with any test tool such as PHPUnit or Mockery. (by dg)

Laravel considered harmful
Torch is the proof that it's tightly coupled. Why do you even need a repo to show how to do it? Symfony doesn't have this issue. Just look at how much crap you need to wire to use a simple validation component: https://github.com/mattstauffer/Torch/blob/master/components/validation/index.php, it's garbage.

someone know a great php framework?
Other than the big frameworks, you could look at using Slim and other libraries/Symfony components to build your own framework - you could even use some Laravel components too.

Am I crazy? Do really all "PHP" companies use either Symfony or Laravel?
You can check out https://github.com/mattstauffer/Torch to see them in action

BillaBear - Design Decisions ‐ Not Using Final Classes
I had this issue when working with Dibi as I needed to mock final methods. You can use this https://github.com/dg/bypass-finals package and forget all the debate about finals against non-final.

Laravel considered harmful
It definitely is my job. If you feel you should ignore best practices and author's opinion, use something like this: https://github.com/dg/bypass-finals

Design Decisions: Why use final classes
Even with the keyword final it's still possible to extend by using the final disable library https://github.com/dg/bypass-finals but the fact you needed to disable it makes it very clear that it's unsupported behaviour.
What are some alternatives?
When comparing Torch and bypass-finals you can also consider the following projects:
pre-phpx
Codeception - Full-stack testing PHP framework
Eloquent - [READ ONLY] Subtree split of the Illuminate Database component (see laravel/framework)
composer-patches - Simple patches plugin for Composer
Laravel - The Laravel Framework.
parthenon - The Symfony SaaS boilerplate
BladeOne - The standalone version Blade Template Engine without Laravel in a single php file and without dependencies
laravel-strict-coding-standard - PHP_CodeSniffer rules for Laravel to force the "right" design of the app
Slim - Slim Framework 4 Skeleton Application
Serializer - Library for (de-)serializing data of any complexity (supports JSON, and XML)
