Super-NT-Jailbreak VS Firmware

The Super NT at least just uses the carts natively, with jailbroken firmware you can play some games that use special chips loaded from SD cards, provided you have the right bios files, otherwise you need to use real carts.

On Analogue's Super Nt, here is an existing sound effect error on Chrono Trigger.

For anybody looking to do something similar but save some money, you can get most (but not all) of the functionality of this setup with just the Super Nt itself using the unofficial official jailbreak firmware (https://github.com/SmokeMonsterPacks/Super-NT-Jailbreak), which is made by the Super Nt's own developer. It lets you load ROMs from the SD card, and supports some (but not all) of the SNES enhancement chips.

Super NT jailbreak You download the jailbreak and write it to an sd card which goes into the sd slot on the side of the SNT and you then follow the firmware update instructions from analogue. It installs just like the stock firmware would.

I emailed them and sent it back to FETTec for them to check out and replace (assuming it's only a firmware issue and I didn't eff up any hardware). They changed the name of their repository a few days later lmao.
