How to find the right chips?
You will need to read the data sheet for your processor to understand what is needed. The 8085 sheet will show some very hard to find chips like the 8155 and 8755, but you can build a very nice computer with not much more than the CPU, a latch, a RAM, and and EEPROM. My code is a bit hard to read because of some APRS NRZ decoding mixed in with the KCS decoding but essentially I’m only measuring if the correct amount of cycles have passed(throwing away the other cycle data) and then detecting if the wave had a length above or below a threshold of $0600(somewhere around 1700Hz) timer1 counts (at 2MHz in my case). 6502 Coding in C or C++?
