One of the best extension is save tabs If you don't see all the tabs , make sure to do a reload so they can be detected as active , because when you have a lot of tabs they automatically go in sleep mode . Reload tabs , open extension and export data

I'm not super familiar with the technical details, but if it helps I'm also using the ToS;DR extension (the green B on Wikipedia) which doesn't seem to have any issues sticking to the tab rather than the currently active window (code available on github https://github.com/tosdr/browser-extensions ).
