All alone on a planet
For the Martian trip, the Pathfinder was at 465Miles (750km, and don't forget return), and to the MAV 3200Km. You can use a SRV with 0 Pips engine to simulate lack of jump and low speed. Use EDSM.net and find a planet with a CO2 atmosphere, similar gravity, and red color (this one is hard to find, maybe High Metal Content planets?). Andy Weir have a great map, that can force you thourght canyons and between craters. If you planet have 3200km diameter, you can join the Circumnavigation Club with it, and even make a SRVTracker path for other players that want this experience.

To navigate to each of these locations, I would normally recommend using E.D.I.S.O.N, but it seems to have been abandoned by its maintainer. Instead, consider using the EDDiscovery compass or Crank Larson's SRV Tracker.

Seeed CAN-BUS library - Old as the newest one has errors and won't compile.

arduino-canbus-monitor - Can bus monitoring tool based on arduino and can bus shield. Implements CAN ASCII/SLCAN protocol compatible with Lawicel CAN232/CANUSB. Can be used for monitoring low speed CAN (interior can bus of most cars, less than 500kbps). For higher speeds serial port can become a bottleneck in case data density is high.
