You CAN NOT use the most recent keys (16.0.2) for TOTK. You have to use the older ones (16.0.1) to run it. In order to install update 1.1, you have to downpatch the update NSP using Switch Army Knife (SAK). Put your newer keys into SAK’s bin folder and then downpatch the NSP. Then ensure you have the older keys in Yuzu’s key folder, install the update, and then run the game.

use dbi or tinwoo. if you want to convert the xci to nsp you can do that using switch army knife and install it using whatever method you were using before.

It's because you're trying to install it from a XCI file. It isn't recommended to do that and most times won't work when doing so. Try using an XCI to NSP converter. Here's one I found: https://github.com/dezem/SAK though you need a fully-populated keys.dat file for it to work. But you can just do that from Lockpick_RCM.

No but yes. While obviously there is no official way, a tool called switch army knife can patch games to run on lower firmwares.

Download this https://github.com/sthetix/HATS/releases/download/Latest/HATS.zip extract all to the root of your sd card and overwrite if prompted.. your good to go!

download this and replace the files on your SD card.

Download the HATS pack, has all the tolls you will ever need to put on your SD Card as well as a hekate_ipl.ini with CFW sysmmc

Try booting into hekate payload instead. You can do a simple install with the HATS pack on GitHub. https://github.com/sthetix/HATS

The common issues that prevent Tinfoil from working are that the system clock isn't synchronized, and/or you're missing sigpatches. If it's the latter, you'll need to find the sigpatches file online. One of the easier ways is to reinstall hekate, atmosphere, tinfoil, and sigpatches using the hats pack found here.

I've installed modchip on Lite. It shows the "no sd card" logo. I've tried both hekate official gitthub and HATS packages loaded into an SD card, but it gives a black screen. It returns to no sd card when I press the power button for 10 seconds after removing the sd card.

I assume you updated hekate already, but try a clean SD card and use the latest HATS only and see if that works.

What you have is a payload injector, which is designed to allow for you to boot into a select payload without a computer. The payload on the SX OS ones looks for a boot.dat file for instructions, which is usually for SX OS. Thankfully the SX Gear boot.dat file lets you boot into any payload using that same payload. What you want is a copy of the sx gear boot.dat and boot.ini files, which are included in Sthetix's HATS pack. From there edit the boot.ini to point to the hekate payload on your micro sd card.
