I Tried Making a custom anisette server for sidestore with render, but it tells me there is an error when i have apparently done everything right. Can someone help me? Ik this isnt sidestore subreddit but the sidestore sub only has 100 something members so I am also posting here.
First, make account (enter email and password) from here. Next, Open up this link and click "Fork" button in the top right corner and click "Create fork" button. (enter your favorite name (i recommend Provision) to the Repository name if you can't click)

sideloading from linux
First, go https://github.com/Dadoum/Provision/releases/latest and Download binary for your architecture, then setup library (Download Apple Music apk from here and extract, then create "lib" folder to the same location as ./anisette-server-x86_64 (name depends on selected architecture) file then go "path_to_extractedapk/lib/your_architecture" and copy everything in this file to created lib folder) and run by ./anisette-server-x86_64 (again, file name depends on downloaded file architecture type). After all, finally run Altserver-Linux but with ALTSERVER_ANISETTE_SERVER=http://127.0.0.1:6969 environment variable. (you can set by write this in the beginning of the command line before writing ./AltServer-x86_64) This should work. also, sorry for bad english. i hope you understand.

Sidestore id locked?
Make a fork of https://github.com/Dadoum/Provision. Then go to https://render.com and create a new webservice under new > webservice, connect your github account and choose that fork. After that Render should set up the server no problem.

Sidestore: Unable to create Custom Anisette sever. Some sidestore users help me please
How to fix Render : Create a GitHub account and fork the Provision Repo (https://github.com/Dadoum/Provision.git). Rename the Repo to anything you like and copy the link. Then create a new web service in render & paste the link of your forked repo. Use the link of the new render service for your sidestore anisette.

Does anyone know how to fix this?
From discord I often had troubles with accounts getting locked and error -36607 which I’ve blamed on anisette. Now, I have finally found a very easy and free way of hosting an anisette server! 1. Register on https://dashboard.render.com/register 2. Click on new web service 3. Enter https://github.com/Dadoum/Provision.git into the "Public Git repository" field at the bottom and click continue 4. Enter a name of your choice and maybe change the region 5. Scroll to the bottom and clicl "Create Web Service" 6. Wait until the build is complete 7. Check if your service works (link below your chosen web service name: https://xxx.onrender.com)

How to ditch Neon
1) Render.com currently offers postgres databases for $7 a month. The $7 instance is pretty weak as far as RAM and CPU, and their prices also get pretty unreasonable after that. However, this is a quick setup and cheaper alternative to Neon.

Ask HN: Those of you who don't use AWS/Azure/GCP, what do you use for hosting?
I use Cloudflare Serverless for front end apps and Render for backend services.
- Cloudflare [1] scales easily and has a lot of easy to use services like databases and storage buckets, JAM Stack front end pages, and CDN services for images and videos.
- Render [2] has been great for us to spin up Python services quickly. I haven't worked with a production load on Render, but I hear good things :)
