Major Gnome theme issues on Fedora 37,Gnome 43.
Firstly, i was using the Orchis Gnome theme, a few days ago, and i didn't like the fact that there was no light mode, so i deleted said GTK theme manually, by deleting it from the .themes folder, both in my local usr, and the Admin usr , and the shared usr folder as well, However, as you can see in this pic (https://imgur.com/a/VHtDLDP). I also followed this guide to unninstall Orchis once and for all-.

Modern Adwaita for GTK 2 apps?
I used gtk-chtheme to set my GTK2 theme to this one: https://gitlab.com/hrdwrrsk/AdwMod-theme , it matches the "old" default Adwaita GTK3 theme and blends rather nicely with my other apps.

What theme are you using?

Adwaita slim hasn't been updated for a while. Maybe try AdwMod theme.

About themes
I even tried AdwMod compact theme but it was also too big. So, ultimate I stuck with Fluent gtk theme because it was the most compact theme I could find.
