It was fixed with this commit and this other commit , however there is a server-side mod that puts this behaviour back in

Regardless of what map you plan to play on, make sure you install the Black Ops 1 Zombies Reimagined mod first for a bunch of bug fixes and QoL changes.

I always liked the Black Ops 1 main menu. That's all.
