NewCaw, a rewrite for the new version of the Twitter client Cawbird, will also have support for Mastodon. But it's sill a work in progress and have not been released yet.

  • Ask HN: HiDPI Linux Laptop Suggestions?
    1 project | news.ycombinator.com | 10 Feb 2023
I'm looking for a HiDPI laptop that supports Linux, where HiDPI is something in the 248-312ppi range[1], preferably a current generation CPU.

StarLabs StarFighter looks good, but is unreleased and MacBook Pro priced. XPS 13 Plus 9320 could work, but OLED can be finicky.

    Other suggestions welcome.

  • Make the next display 220ppi
    1 project | /r/framework | 1 Nov 2022
250ppi should work even better! If I remember correctly, Apple use non-integer scaling on their 220ppi laptops (MacBook Air/Pro 13") by default. From what I can tell their ~250ppi laptops (MacBook Pro 14"/16") do use integer scaling (200%) though.
