What's the best weather app for Android?
I agree with this 100%. I used to use their app several years ago. I loved the super accuracy. Then they made drastic changes to the app that I hated. Uninstalled it and now use NativeAlpha to create a pseudo app for it.

Alternative way to access Reddit on phone (a tutorial)
Before I lay down the steps know that this tutorial is specifically for the "WebApps Sandboxed Browser" on Android. For another Android app you can get "Native Alpha" through the download options here: https://github.com/cylonid/NativeAlphaForAndroid. For this one you have to figure out the steps by yourself because I've not used if myself yet. The advantage of this one is that it has a more recent last update though WebApps Sandboxed Browser works fine in my experience. For iPhone user I'm sorry but you have to find a webapp alternative by yourself(if it exists). If you do please share it here.

Migration to KBin and the Fediverse
A mobile app is not yet available (but apparently in the works), so I personally recommend the use of an application such as Native Alpha to mimic an installed app. KBin seems to work fine on mobile browsers, as well.

So what are you guys gonna do once the data API charge goes into effect?
I setup Reddit mobile site on Native Alpha as a webapp, much better than official app, but not compared to Infinity

Best Web App browser focused for privacy?
On android, theres a an app called Native Alpha which utilizes Android's built in Web View to isolate specific websites makes them into app-like feeling. Instead of in-browser tabs, it appears as separate individuals on the task manager. One can even set the website setting individually like javascript on/off, https, cookies, etc.

Pirate Weather
On android I use NativeAlpha for setting up Briefsky as app that opens in its own Android Webview app rather than a browser. It's almost like DarkSky minus the notifications.

Show HN: Rings.social – A WIP content voting platform Reddit API compatible
Hello HN!
I'm building https://rings.social in response to the Reddit API changes.
My goal is to add a compatibility layer for Reddit clients, so that the switch to Rings will include the already existing apps (Sync, RIF, Apollo, Boost, Infinity, ...).
To try it out on your own, you can compile a version of Infinity for Reddit [1] by doing a one line change [2] that uses either https://api.rings.social or your own backend running on your network.
Please, be aware, the project is still work in progress - you're free to contribute to it and send PRs. You can also help us shape the future of the project via GitHub, email or Slack. By commenting on this thread you'll already help shape it.

How to pirate reddit?
RedReader (and potentially Infinity) was granted free API access thanks to the app itself also being free (and more importantly open source) ;

I've been working on a fork of Infinity for Everything
I can't create an issue on Github so I'll post here. In the start of the readme.md file there is a spelling mistake, I think it's highlighted in the photo, where it says "Aa", I think it is supposed to say "An"/"A". Anyway good luck with this project, I'm really excited to see where it's going to go! This is all I can do to contribute at the moment as I am not yet a programmer! :) Image.
