  • Release v6.5.5 (2023/05/19) - Neltharion's Lair mapping correction
    2 projects | /r/KeystoneGuru | 19 May 2023
Mapping changes: * Neltharion's Lair mapping updated (see https://github.com/Nnoggie/MythicDungeonTools/issues/465). Bugfixes: * [\#1739](https://github.com/Wotuu/keystone.guru/issues/1739) When new affixes are added, a hard-reload is no longer required to fetch the latest affixes image. If you didn't do this you'd see the wrong images for the affixes until you did.
  • Addon Devs: How do you handle dependencies/libs in your development environment?
    2 projects | /r/wowaddons | 5 Dec 2022
This question arose when I tried cloning an addon's github repo in hopes of contributing to it. But I quickly realized it won't run as-is because the libraries aren't part of the repo. Next I tried downloading those libraries and putting them in my AddOns folder, but I still see UI errors because the addon's xml file is attempting to load those libraries from a relative path. If it helps, the particular addon I was attempting this with is https://github.com/Nnoggie/MythicDungeonTools/tree/master/libs Strangely, this addon's repo does include a copy of LibDeflate, but not any of the other libraries it's trying to include from load_libs.xml. So clearly I'm missing something about how addon devs handle dependencies during the actual development.

  • Limit drops out of DBM partnership

One of the issues with some of the functionality is that many of the top guilds are building a lot into (custom) WeakAura's since the process to do so is (a lot) quicker. The afterimage didn't get marked until someone requested it on Github, for example. Still prefer BW, they iterate a lot and they listen to community requests on Github (changes that are easy to make are implemented in days).
  • [help] Can anyone help troubleshoot this ERT timer?

The probable answer is wrong spell ID. Bigwigs GitHub lists 325236 as a spell ID used for glyph if destruction in addition to the number you provided. So change 325361 for 325236. I have bigwigs github bookmarked for this reason
  • Is there a way to figure out if someone is fooling dbm or bigwigs addon checks?
    1 project | /r/wowaddons | 31 Jan 2021
Theoretically it's possible but you'll have to keep your own addon up to date with BigWigs's messaging. Here's the relevant part you have to catfish BigWigs : https://github.com/BigWigsMods/BigWigs/blob/master/Loader.lua#L713, you will also need to find the specific part used to check that other person have big wigs. I would advise to keep a low profile with this addon because if the creator of big wigs want to make it difficult for you the addon maintenance will become a nightmare.
