also, if anyones wondering how to use the client version for this server, i use MineOnline Launcher. you can play tons of archived minecraft versions on it and it works very well from my experience.

How to Play Beta 1.7.3 On Silicon Macbooks (M1/M2 Working 2022)
There's a launcher made for launching old versions like beta 1.7.3 that has full Apple Silicon support. It's called MineOnline. It's also got a really fancy nice looking GUI. I highly recommend it.

What launcher should I use for b1.7.3?
Personally I recommend MineOnline if you're planning on playing vanilla. It's got some quality of life enhancements that Betacraft doesn't have. Like for instance, it lets you access the launcher menu from in game by pressing R, and you can even resize the window during gameplay and press F2 to take a screenshot in any version. Lots of other cool features too.

Mojang have changed the login servers. Unless you know how to modify the launcher, use a retro client with a proxy like https://betacraft.pl/ , https://github.com/craftycodie/MineOnline or https://multimc.org/ They will let you play pretty much any version of Minecraft.

Can anyone verify OnlineModeFix?
I’ve been looking for a more elegant solution to the beta authentication situation than AuthMe and i found this: OnlineModeFix (github) it seems very useful and coded by some knowledge people, I just cant test it/verify it actually works as intended, and i’d like to at least verify it works and is safe, but I cant do that without “hacked minecraft”, something i have zero knowledge about. There is this post about the plugin, but theres not much info about it outside of that. I have tested this plugin on a server, and it has allowed authenticated minecraft accounts to play, but if it stops unauthenticated players from connecting is what i don’t know Any more knowledgeable server people that can shed some light if this is safe/even works?
