310mm bed in a modified Ender 5 frame, after a year of revisions I finally have the space that I wanted.
I started with the Mercury One Cad file I think ( https://github.com/ZeroGDesign/Mercury/tree/main/CAD ) because it's nice and simple but when I needed to compare with the Ender 5 I used this: https://grabcad.com/library/creality-ender-5-pro-1

What is the name of this? Where can I find this Ender 5 Pro Linear Rail Carriage Adapter?
But ZeroG have documentation and STL downloads for the EVA and Mercury One.1 here : https://docs.zerog.one/ and their github is here: https://github.com/ZeroGDesign/Mercury

Ender 5+ CoreXY Conversion
I assume you’re aware of the Mercury one project? ( https://github.com/ZeroGDesign/Mercury ) Is there an advantage to your design or a reason you wanted to go your own way? Very cool btw.

Interesting things to do with an old X5Sa?
I believe you could make a Mercury One conversion on it. Although it was designed originally for the Ender 5, the X5Sa is similar enough so that it should work.

If I want to print decent quality PLA as fast as possible, what is the first bottleneck on a stock ender5 pro?
High flow versions of more modern hotends, like the Dragon or the Rapido will give you a better chance on that, but since you'll need to mod the toolhead to support them I'd also convert your printer to a CoreXY motion system by making the Mercury One mod, linear rails can support higher speeds/accelerations than v-wheels, and also have longer life.

Linear Rails! "Cosmic" vs Zero G Mercury One vs ????
Hello all - There are quite a few E5+ mods out there for converting to linear rails. I am just wondering if anyone knows the benefits between a standard linear rail mod like this versus the Zero G Mercury One Mod. I think I want the Mercury One but just posting this to get other peoples opinions. Ideally, I'd go with a Rat Rig Vcore3 but My E5+ is going to be around for a while. I can currently print at 5k acceleration (generous - could go higher) with a DragonflyBMS printing at 180mm's but would like to bump it up maybe a little more.

First print on a brand new sheet. No tuning needed thanks to Klicky!
I see a Mercury One conversion in your future... 😁

Bambu Owners Woke Up Yesterday to Find Their 3D Printers Had Gone Rogue
Anti-features like this just make me more convinced to get a Voron instead. Open source design, great community, almost infinitely moddable, and at least as capable as the Bambu. You can self-source all the parts or buy kits from various vendors.

However, I say all this as someone that is technically inclined, wants to tinker, and is a fan of the open source. Somebody that wants plug-and-play should definitely look at another printer.

1Sub.dev – A world where people pay for software
https://vorondesign.com/
"The original goal of the VORON project, back in 2015, was to create a no-compromise 3D printer that was fun to assemble and a joy to use. It had to be quiet, clean, pretty, and continue to operate 24 hours a day without requiring constant fiddling. In short a true home micro-manufacturing machine without a hefty price tag. It took over a year in development, with every part being redesigned, stress tested and optimized. Shortly after the release a vibrant community formed around the project and continues to grow today. This community is part of what makes VORON such a special experience.
What was once a one-person operation has grown into a small tight-knit group of engineers united under a common design ethos. We're dedicated to creating production-quality printers you can assemble in your kitchen. It's this passion and dedication that drive us to push the boundaries just a little further. We build space shuttles with gardening tools so anyone can have a space shuttle of their own.

Which Voron would work with these extrusions?
You can use the configurator at the site to try and find a size that could work. However, I must warn you that if those are V-slot extrusions you most likely won't be able to reuse them on a Voron: the slot is to wide to hold the MGN9 linear rails correctly.

What's the most gold-like colored PLA that is NOT silk?
Might check out their channel on the Voron discord (can find a link at vorondesign.com) and ask if anyone has any pictures.
- Suggestions??
