First timer
Advent of Code is a good opportunity to learn a language that you're curious about, but that's not the only way to do it. Some folks focus on learning algorithms, using a language they're already familiar with. Some folks focus on making interesting visualizations. Some folks use a language they already know and focus on getting the fastest possible execution time. Some folks try to get the shortest possible program, or visually-appealing source code.
