What is your preferred light strip for outdoor (indirect light under deck near wooden hot tub) application?
I run these https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01CDTELBE and WLED. As I add more strips I'll keep using these until I run into some issue. I've got 4 of the 16ft strips and haven't had any issue with them thus far and its been about 3 months thus far. I have them hooked into Home Assistant, but I really like the WLED interface and all the presets and options. Also, I highly recommend running https://ledfx.app/ and sitting something near a speaker. Sound sync isn't perfect, but its one of the best I've seen so far for LED strips that doesn't require a ton of effort

Are FastLED and LedFX similar to WLED? Do they have better sound reactive effects than the SR fork?
I can recommend LedFx for sound reactive effects. It runs on your Computer (or a Raspberry Pi) and streams the effects to your devices. It works great with WLED and is easy to install. It takes only about 15 minutes to get started and play around a bit, so you don't really loose anything if you don't like it in the end. If you are using windows you can just download the installer.
