(x240 ThinkPad) Reboots and the hard drive disappears after installation
Hello guys, so I've been trying to install mac os big sur on my ThinkPad x240 using this guide after configuring everything and setting up (on a brand new USB stick) all the files, I booted normally into open core and then into recovery. I clicked restore mac os and waited an extremely long time to finish installation (Even tho I have a decent connection), when the installation was done the computer rebooted. and it showed me the option to select a booting device, selecting the hard drive i installed the mac os won't do anything so I booted back again the USB stick, there I could boot the hard drive, which results in rebooting the computer and then the option to select the had drive in open core completely disapearing.

Thinkpad x240 display upgrade and macos
Have you tried it yourself? I've come across this link https://github.com/Sniki/Lenovo-Thinkpad-X240 with EFI folder. If I have I got the right idea, the concept revolves around making thinkpad boot like it a was mac machine (using clover or opencore) and then loading with the correct files in EFI folder and suitable kexts for the subsystems (audio, trackpad etc)?

How to fix garbled display
Hi, I have a thinkpad x240 with i5 4300u and intel hd4400 and Big Sur installed, everytime I reboot or shutdown the machine I am greeted with a garbled display and need to put it to sleep first then wake it up before the display fixes it self. My display is 1080p with touchscreen, I followed Sniki's guide but it still has the same issue. Was wondering if anybody has other solution. Thank you. https://github.com/Sniki/Lenovo-Thinkpad-X240

macOS Monterey on Lenovo ThinkPad x240!
Thanks, I'll give it a go whenever I get the chance. I'm pretty sure I had my bios set up properly (secure boot off, tpm off, virtualization on), but it's starting to look like it's an issue with how I set up my installation media. I had tried using this prebuilt efi to get it working (I'm pretty sure it's the one you used for some guidance) , but it also didn't work. I tried configuring my own config.plist using dortania's opencore guide and using the prebuilt efi for any kexts I was unsure about. Thanks again! I'll probably get it working eventually when school ends.

OpenCore from USB does not find MacOS installation partition on SSD after first reboot
- Xiaomi Notebook Pro laptop (Kaby Lake) - Two SSDs. Existing one has a Windows / Linux dual-boot. Second SSD is dedicated to this new MacOS install. - Created a bootable online installation USB with OpenCore and MacOS Ventura. - Used https://github.com/daliansky/XiaoMi-Pro-Hackintosh EFI. I know this is not recommended, but it is a regularly maintained "release" - and I did re-read all the relevant sections of the DortianaOpenCore guide, especially whatever relates to the issue I am having. For what it's worth, the prebuilt EFI targets the same OC version I am using (0.9.6).
