Why have there been no high performance forks for the Forge Server
Forge has hundreds, if not thousands, of mods depending on it, and those are used in all sorts of different configurations. You mentioned performance mods, and those already come along with a bunch of compatibility issues (for example, Performant has made Integrated Dynamics Drying Basins produce infinite Menril in the past, and that may still be an issue).

I need help with the portal gun mod. In the 1.4.5 version, you can see through the portals, but not in the 1.7.10. Is there anyway to actually make it so you can see through the portal. Maybe change files within the .jar or use the 1.4.5 mod in 1.7.10 forge?

Error with Portability, game keeps failing to launch with this issue... I'm a total newb, does anyone know how to fix this? I've already passed chapter 2 in this world!
