Quick way to change fonts?
That said Markdown is compatible with HTML, so you could use elements to wrap sections of text in custom fonts. This is essentially how the Highlightr plugin works https://github.com/chetachiezikeuzor/Highlightr-Plugin

A note taking app able to search by highlighter colour?
Obsidian has various highlighter plugins; I'm not aware that any of them let you directly search by color. However one could do a search of the underlying document to find the color codes e.g. the Highlightr plugin's color code can be seen here.

How do I change the color of the text I highlight?

Try the File Tree Alternative plugin which can show folders in the top pane. Select a folder and its files appear in the bottom pane.

Pin certain notes to top of finder?
The File Tree Alternative plugin supports pinning files to the top of the display of a folder content. You can only see the pinned files if you are looking at that folder in what File Tree Alternative calls "Evernote" mode.

Heyy, I learned that Obsidian is highly customizable according to specific individual needs which is why I shifted all my notes onto here.. Is there a way by which I can customize the File Explorer Menu myself & drag files & folders up & down on the list to be in the sequence i wish??
Since that's not possible,(not even in the Windows File Explorer) this Obsidian plugin could help a bit by letting you view folders and files in separate panes (list).
