Sygonix RS-100 / Rising Sun Electrics wifi plug
I jedaxed the app now, they seem to have copied some code from https://github.com/EspressifApp/EsptouchForAndroid - so it seems the device is running an ESP8266. No AES is mentioned in the WiFi code, which let's me assume it's configured via esptouch v1.

Ionic app integrated with esp-touch
So I tried to create a plugin based on cordova-plugin-esptouch but using these libraries: https://github.com/EspressifApp/EsptouchForAndroid and https://github.com/EspressifApp/EsptouchForIOS. Regardless, I have not been able to make it work with wifi 2.4ghz+5ghz.

First I tried to use this Cordova plugin https://github.com/coloz/cordova-plugin-esptouch but it is not reliable when I try to connect to wifi with the bands 2.4ghz and 5ghz under the same name (SSID).
