Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

I see people are getting data for their projects from encyclopedia api, but that doesn't seems too easy. I found this, but it is not official so I'm not sure if it works.

How to Write File-Based Tests With Real Files
I also wrote another helper package output-files that creates a whole file tree at once by passing an object. It's much easier than writing a lot of fs.writeFile calls to create many files.
