Holy Grail of Training
I would say it's pretty broad. And while I don't love the online training it is free. The practicals are great IMO.

Is PL-300 exam worth taking? Any suggestions for study material
I would actually say otherwise. Data analysts are starting to become more popular and powerbi is a really powerful tool so if you see the certification as valuable to have, I say go for it. In terms of material I recommend going through the MS learn modules and the official labs https://github.com/MicrosoftLearning/PL-300-Microsoft-Power-BI-Data-Analyst/tree/Main/Instructions, also pairing it up with practice tests could help, measureup has a sale currently https://www.measureup.com/microsoft-official-practice-test-pl-300-microsoft-power-bi-data-analyst.html
