Yo Ho, Yo Ho, a pirates life for me!! Recent streaming services, prices and shows getting butchered, finally decided its time. Here's how a basic self-hosted 'Netflix' would look like. Fully automated once its setup. Using only a makeshift homelab server from second hand parts.
Cleanarr: Deletes media based on specified conditions.

Delete shows that haven't been watched in 6 months.

Identify unused files in Plex share
Edit 2: didn’t realize there was another project with the same name also may be helpful

Any way to check if I have all the episodes?
Cleanarr Allows you to delete movies/tvshows under certain conditions, nice if you are worried about HDD space.

I made a thing! A python script to delete old, unwatched movie content. Open to feedback.
Kinda like https://github.com/Cleanarr/Cleanarr but this project has never been finished and it's for Ombi.

Library clean/prune app?
Edit: Found it - it's 'coming soon' (link)

Family Plex, light torrenting
Not really, If I want to watch something, maybe my friends do. I just don't want to give access to people who I do not know (for obvious reasons). Separating directories for each member seems like a very manual process, but if that's what you want to do, go for it. The only real benefit I could see about your process is the deleting of stuff, but then again, you could set up Cleanarr to do that for you anyways.
- Can't wait till Cleanarr is ready!!
