I could make the sacrifice of nice and straightforward UI if I would go https://classquiz.de/. It really seems like the best option in terms of self hosting. I would quite miss the fights over gold or crypto in Blooket.

Bootstrapping the donations myself was the easiest way to do it (I think ask people to subscribe later, but in the future they can subscribe first I guess), first Donation was to ClassQuiz and I saved The proof... I have just realized it doesn't say the amount but welp I guess I'll just keep my credit card statements. This is more of a PITA than I thought.
