How do you guys build a decent looking base?
Building Gadgets: this is by far the one of my most useful, versatile building tool created by DireWolf20. There are many tools in this mod and it it really intuitive to use once you understand it. You can build wall, floors, horizontal/vertical columns; copy structures and paste them somewhere else; exchange blocks and so much more. You simply have to have the blocks in your inventory or in a storage and set the gadgets to use the blocks from that storage

help with building gadgets
The wiki for building gadgets has a lot of info and there are plenty tutorial videos available on youtube showing how they work. Only thing that’s different in VH is the crafting recipes. U can always make a creative world to play around with it and test things.

Adorn is a good one, and it's available for both Forge and Fabric.

You're looking for a mixin plugin; I'm not aware of any good documentation but a good example is Adorn (and specify it in your mixins json).
