Duplicate multiple lines
It depends on what you're looking to duplicate. One thing I've built for myself and have been using a lot is this mini-plugin to duplicate "blocks" of code: duplicate.vim. This duplicates blocks based on indent, assuming that the first line opens an indented block and a later line closes it -- so, if-end, blocks with curly brackets, etc.
