Project mention: What is cross-browser compatibility, and why should you care? | dev.to | 2024-03-29You can also consider using stylesheets like Normalize.css, Eric Mayer's CSS reset rules to establish a baseline layout across browsers.
Tailwind is great, but creating everything from scratch is annoying. A nice base of components which can be extended with tailwind would be great. There are a few tailwind frameworks like Flowbite, Daisy Ui, but I like Bulma, PicoCSS and Bootstrap.

I chose Tachyons over Tailwind because Tachyons is an atomic CSS framework, similar to Tailwind, however it's much lighter weight. Tailwind tends to be a bit heavier without using post CSS processing so I wanted to stick with something smaller.
The CountryFlag component receives the same code property as our emoji component. Yet, it also accepts an optional path to hosted SVG files. I employ a NextJS app, therefore I store all flags in /images/flags within the public folder. I located these flags in the flag-icons GitHub repo and copied them to my project.

Agreed, find a class-less framework to start, so that you focus on just the HTML, semantic structure first. Here's a couple of lists of such frameworks:

Personally, I like simple.css (https://github.com/kevquirk/simple.css)

- Spicetify for the custom spotify theme, I am using a modified version of the 'Dreary' theme. Theme is a bit broken atm and not being maintained, so I had to fix some bugs in the .css files, will try to push my changes to the Spicetify Themes GitHub repo when I find the time.
