My daily machine is currently at 16GiB, the same as ten years ago. My memory usage is down from five or six years ago, which I attribute mainly to uMatrix script-blocking browser plugin.

To those familiar with the HTML DOM I recommend uMatrix from the same author as uBlock origin. It makes a good companion to uBlock Origin and provides much finer control.

What are some alternatives?
uBlock - uBlock Origin - An efficient blocker for Chromium and Firefox. Fast and lean.
