My opinion: Vue, specifically the Vue 3 Composition API. Most of your app state should come from computed() values. Bookmark https://vueuse.org and come back to it often. Go through VueUse's source (the docs for each function link to their source): you'll be surprised at how simple most of it is, and it stands as documentation of best practices for using the composition API in general.
I can't give you a stdlib, but I can give you a package with a lot of the basic functionality but still small enough that it installs quickly and has negligable overhead. The ubelt library is a set of 100ish utility functions and classes. It's similar to boltons, but I suppose it reflects a different perspective on what's useful.
Btw I am also implementing some midi stuff on the rp2040 and I found a nice library, which is easy to use (header only) and has a lot of classes for common audio / Midi problems and saves you the time to implement all the midi stuff by hand: https://github.com/Tracktion/choc
From my experience, maintaining a standalone/embedded printf library - MISRA is a combination of two things: Common-sense rules, and pain-in-the-ass rules. Example of the latter: Avoiding implementation-defined types like `int` in places where my code doesn't care about what sizeof(int) is.
I was able to accommodate most (?) of the MISRA rules (https://github.com/eyalroz/printf/issues/77), but mine is just a small library, so I don't know how restrictive they would be for a larger codebase.
