  • openmw

OpenMW is an open-source open-world RPG game engine that supports playing Morrowind. Main repo and issue tracker can be found here: https://gitlab.com/OpenMW/openmw/

Project mention: Low FPS on Steam Deck | /r/OpenMW | 2023-11-04

I downloaded the build via openmw-0.48.0-Linux-64Bit.tar.gz, it runs very well, but whenever I add the game as a shortcut to steam, the performance fumbles, I get around 25-30 fps at best, and I tried to experiment a bit and search more on the internet for a solution before posting in here, but nothing have helped as of yet. If there's someone who worked it out, please share it with us.

  • loot

A modding utility for Starfield and some Elder Scrolls and Fallout games.

Project mention: Simple(ish) Guide to Get Your Classic Skyrim (Skyrim LE/Oldrim) Looking & Feeling Nice! | /r/skyrimmods | 2023-12-07

**IMPORTANT**: Remember to use LOOT (Load Order Optimization Tool) to optimize your mod order and TES5Edit 4.0.4 -> QuickAutoClean.exe to clean mods that LOOT says records need fixing. If you don't do the cleaning, you will likely run into more CTDs (crash to desktop). - LOOT: https://loot.github.io/ - TES5Edit: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/25859/

Project mention: How intensive is modded Morrowind? I have a self built desktop, but it was purpose built to be a work computer, 5 years ago, can it run it? | /r/Morrowind | 2023-11-07

Unless you are going crazy with graphics stuff, you'll run it just fine. Following modlists can help getting tons of Quality of Life mods but anything that has more than minimum on graphic side goes to my "don't download" list. I recommend Morrowind Sharp for MGE or I Heart Vanilla for OpenMW. Check the mods they have and decide which one you want.

  • nexus-autodl

Nexus AutoDL is an autoclicker (a.k.a., autodownloader, bot) that helps automate downloading mods from Nexus Mods

  • ashfall

  • Wrye-Mash-Polemos

    Wrye Mash 2021, Polemos fork.

Project mention: Quick question about Wrye Mash - Polemos fork - 2021 load order | /r/Morrowind | 2023-06-29

Based on the screenshots at https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/45439 it looks like entries lower in the list override i.e. load after the ones higher up. This makes sense as entries like Morrowind.esm need to load before .esp files that depend on it can be loaded.

  • MorrowindPlusPlus

    https://r-fuzzo.gitbook.io/morrowind++/ Morrowind++ - A lorefriendly vanilla-enhanced modlist for TES3 Morrowind.

    Project mention: Combat mod recommendations | /r/Morrowind | 2023-04-12

Personally I use vanilla combat combat but have Running Fatigue Overhaul Beta to change the fatigue drain formula to be more forgiving for movent but regen slower. I have literally no idea where else to find the mod but some random direct github download. I also use and think it's worth mentioning, Realistic Archery. No idea if/how well it works with GBaC or BBC.
