Python sample codes for robotics algorithms.Project mention: I am creating a fast, header-only, C++ library for control algorithms | reddit.com/r/ControlTheory | 2021-09-27
This was partly inspired by PythonRobotics (which I love!). However, I don't want this repo to become a huge collection of unorganized algorithms. I want the focus to be on quality over quantity. At the same time, I don't want this repo to be only "educational". While I want to include as many examples as possible for educational (and documentation) purpose, I want this library to be fast so that it can be used in practical applications.
An annotation processor for generating type-safe bean mappersProject mention: Source generators and a boilerplate code | dev.to | 2021-12-03
During my work on different cloud-native applications with a various tech stacks I’ve paid attention to Java’s widely used mapping library MapStruct, where developers define mappings using Java annotations (in C# attributes). The SourceMapper package uses Source Generators and generates objects mappings based on C# attributes actually during coding. Of course, there is widely used .NET Mapper library AutoMapper, but the main difference between tham, that developer can see (and control) mappings in generated code. The package can be installed using Nuget Package Manager:
Scout APM: A developer's best friend. Try free for 14-days. Scout APM uses tracing logic that ties bottlenecks to source code so you know the exact line of code causing performance issues and can get back to building a great product faster.
A handy swift json-object serialization/deserialization library (by alibaba)
Marker Clustering plugin for LeafletProject mention: How do i create an map with amount of accumulated rain? | reddit.com/r/reactjs | 2021-06-23
So you'd want to have a map where you plot the amount of rainfall at different coordinate points? You'd prob want to get the data in JSON format then you could use Leaflet Marker Cluster to plot the rainfall amount at each coordinate then aggregate them for a particular area.
I think, indoor mapping support is indeed something to consider. It is a rather advanced mapping concept, so it might not be on the top of the todo list right now. However, I'm seeing that some work on this was already done (see https://github.com/openstreetmap/iD/issues/4780 / https://github.com/openstreetmap/iD/pull/3097), so it might be actually a relatively quick thing once the outstanding UI questions and issues are resolved.

Beautiful React SVG maps with d3-geo and topojson using a declarative api.Project mention: I built a full stack website where you guess the country based on its music! | reddit.com/r/webdev | 2021-11-06
Glad you enjoyed! The globe is built using d3 and topojson, and the map layout is built using the react-simple-maps library (which is itself built on d3).

Mergo: merging Go structs and maps since 2013.
An open visual-inertial mapping framework.Project mention: DARPA SubT Challenge Final Results Announced | reddit.com/r/robotics | 2021-09-26
I haven't had a chance to look at the data in detail, but I assume you're talking about the flip-flopping of some clouds from one of the ANYmals? We use a centralized mapping framework called MapLab which tries to optimally align the maps of all robots and generate a single consistent map. Map optimization is totally out of my domain, but I suspect a few bad constraints caused the optimization to oscillate between two local minima. It gave the operator a heart attack at the time, but its a fairly common occurrence before the process is complete, and fortunately it all got worked out.
RTAB-Map library and standalone applicationProject mention: Need some help with SLAM and mapping with LIDAR | reddit.com/r/robotics | 2021-08-07
For your application rtabmap would be a good starting point I think. (You don't really need ROS either for rtabmap) http://introlab.github.io/rtabmap/

A Python package for interactive mapping with Google Earth Engine, ipyleaflet, and ipywidgets.Project mention: An interactive web app for creating timelapse from GOES weather satellites | reddit.com/r/gis | 2021-10-28
The app was built using streamlit, geemap, and Earth Engine. Go to https://streamlit.gishub.org and select "Create Timelapse" from the sidebar menu. See a video demo here.

The bidirectional mapping library for Python.
Robot-centric elevation mapping for rough terrain navigationProject mention: System Requirements for elevation_mapping Package? | reddit.com/r/ROS | 2021-10-05
My lab's working on incorporating the ANYbotics elevation_mapping package (https://github.com/ANYbotics/elevation_mapping) into our robot. The plan is to use several Intel RealSense (or other RGB-D) cameras to provide data that the rover will use to build its elevation map of the surrounding environment. The trick is that this seems to be incredibly slow: my laptop doesn't have a very good graphics card and so the elevation_mapping demo that comes with the package runs incredibly slow. For our application, we need the process to run fairly quickly, but we're confused as to how to spec a computer for running this package on board an actual robot.
Mapsui is a .NET Map component for: Xamarin.Forms, WPF, UWP, Xamarin.Android and Xamarin.iOS.Project mention: Avalonia Map support | reddit.com/r/AvaloniaUI | 2021-04-28

The FeedsProfile2Processor was a custom hack job by the OG developer(s), and I canna' figure out a solution to this (despite attempting to follow instructions similar to https://www.drupal.org/project/feeds/issues/3169515 and https://github.com/farmOS/farmOS/issues/354 )

Work in progress prototype for the Chisel Level Editor, for UnityProject mention: How could I cut a shape out of a mesh at runtime | reddit.com/r/Unity3D | 2021-04-03
What you’re looking for is called constructive solid geometry or CSG for short. This is the best implementation I’ve seen for unity. This api is mainly designed for level editing but the core algorithm should do what you want if you’re able to utilize it. Good luck!
Header-only C++ library for robotics, control, and path planning algorithms. Work in progress, contributions are welcome!Project mention: Should I rename CppRobotics to Control++? | reddit.com/r/ControlTheory | 2021-09-28
I even opened an issue about this, so feel free to post your ideas there.
